#59: We Miss Iconic Music!

Good god! I almost forgot to blog!

I have my 2nd interview tomorrow, with Vision Express, so I'm getting an early night. But before I do head off to the land of nod, here's something to get you debating...

My day was mostly spent researching and revising information, in preparation for tomorrow, but in the morning , I saw my niece, Anya. Although her visit was very brief, I discovered a very sad fact about the children, and teens of this day an age. She, (and I'm sure many others her age), is completely unaware of who David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, and Kurt Cobain are...!

What has happened to the children of this generation?! Their minds are being constantly trampled with rubbish, such as Nicki Minaj, and One Direction, that their eyes, and ears have not been opened to some of the most iconic, musical legends, of all time.

Pardon me if this sounds a tad over dramatic, but this realisation made me feel physically sick! That raw passion then lead me to a very long, and in depth discussion, with Sean, that evening. Which of course, was all about music in general.

I prey to all musical gods that the discovery of legendary, iconic music, that is also popular, has not been left in the last era of iconic music (the 90s)! The era that bands such as Oasis, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters originated from. It's been a long time since somebody has left a mark as vivid as the marks these bands have left. Just like so many bands before them. Lets hope these geniuses aren't all extinct!
