#166: Beach Babies

I love the beach. I used to hate the sand, and the way it would stay between my toes, get into my shoes and socks, and make the skin on my feet rough, but now I love it! ...and I've always loved the water. I used to love swimming as a kid, which is probably why I've wanted to learn how to surf and scuba-dive for a very long time. One day!

I was treated to a meal, at the local pub on the sea front, The Spinning Wheel. We had nachos, and I had a jacket potato, with cheese and tuna. Then we sat down on the sand, and ate honeycomb ice cream.

Shinny decided he was going to be the first to go into the water. He wanted to take a slightly different approach to it, rather than tip-toe cautiously into the water, like most, or run full pelt into the waves, and dive in, like I would. Sean sat down, with his back to the ocean, and let the waves crash over him. It was hilarious!

After a lovely lunch, a day at the beach, and look around the shops, Sean had to return home due to work commitments. So, now I am lonely, and miss having my best friend with me.
