Sun bathing on a trampoline is amazing! You have the comfort of a mattress, all the space you need, and warmth! I recommend it to anyone who wants to tan for hours.
So, this is how I spent most of my day. Listening to some good tunes, and catching up with some reading. I've almost finished my book now! Only just over 100 pages to go! It's taken me long enough. Maybe a year? Eek! :/
I had a pretty girly evening too. I watched one of my favorite chick flicks of all time, Coyote Ugly, and felt as inspired as ever, after watching it. After this, I watched the last half of Pretty Woman, ate ice cream, and watched Gossip Girl.
I wish Coyote Ugly was a real bar. I would make a perfect Coyote! But lets get more to the point. Why do I love this film so much? It's not just for the table dancing, tequila drinking, bad-ass girls, I relate to so well. It's because this film reminds me of why it's important to keep my dreams and ambitions alive. It's really important not to let fear and self doubt take over, and to, as corny as it sounds, always follow your heart...
I often feel that when I do take a step in what I feels like the right direction, I get scared, and want to go back to where I've come from. It's familiar, and therefore, it's easier. You don't know where you're going when you walk the route of an unfamiliar path, but that's no reason not to walk it. It's hard to let go of what we know best, in order to move forward into our future. But letting go is what has to be done. Otherwise, we will end up living a predictable, unsatisfied life, full of boredom. Life is for living, remember? And you can't fight the moonlight.
Here's a passage, about the summertime, from a chapter I was reading earlier on today, from My Sister's Keeper...
