#188: Freedom

After a day if travelling back from the Briz, arriving home, feeling under the weather, and deciding to play my PS3, for the rest of the day, me and Col decided to watch Django Unchained.

This would be the second time I've seen it in just over 5 months. I think It's safe to say I enjoyed more the second time too. I felt I understood what was happening a lot more, and was more absorbed.

The first time I saw this film I fell in love with the choice of music. A cross between slave blues, and modern-day hip-hop, evolving gradually throughout the film, which I think symbolises a transition over time, from the every day lifestyle of a black person. Once very saddened and emotional, to a now victorious and outspoken persona, in music, and life.

I took the time to "Shazam" the songs that I heard, so I could download them, and add them to my collection. Here is one of my favourites from the film...
