#171: Summertime

Sunday. The perfect day for lounging around, eating off a hang over, and utter relaxation! And when you're Mum isn't about to make everyone a roast, what better way to spend a summer Sunday, than to crack open a few buds, pop open a pipe of Pringles, and listen to the sounds of the summer?

A couple of my favorite summer tunes at the moment, are Lana Del Rey's Summertime Sadness, and of course, the infamous Lucky, by Daft Punk, featuring Pharell Williams.

An all-time summer classic for me, has got to be Will Smith's Summertime. It has a great combination of some of the best lyrics I've heard, and a really crisp, chilled out sound.

Here's one of my favorite pieces from the song... Cheers!

The temperature's about 88,
Hop in the water plug, just for old times sake,
Break to your crib, change your clothes once more,
Cos you're invited to a BBQ that's starting at 4.
Sitting with your friends, whilst ya'll reminisce,
About the days growing up, and the first person you kissed,
And as I think back, it makes me wonder how the
Smell from a grill can spark up nostalgia...

Song Of The Day: Will Smith - Summertime.
