My 2 and a half hour train journey felt like only half an hour, due to talking to a Texan named Don, the whole time. He was on his retirement, with his wife, who were traveling around the world. I aspire to be like him at his age, but at this point, I am just knackered after one day at a festival!
I, naturally, got very drunk, and enjoyed the sounds of Papa Roach, who were surprisingly excellent, Korn, who were predictably brilliant, and ofcourse, the one and only Slipknot. Still the best band I've ever seen live, and I've seen roughly over 60.
I said it back in 2009, and I'll say it again... If you ever get the chance to see Slipknot, take it!
I was very much involved in a mosh pit, for Slipknot, however, I was in such a sleepy state, I had to ask a random man if I could rest in his deck chair, so I could still watch, where then, I had a little snooze.
