Incase you didn't know already, I am in fact, a very big Potter fan! I used to be completely obsessed with the books, and would sort everyone I knew into a house. I'd also be half convinced that one day, I would receive my belated letter of acceptance into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry... I'm now 22, and I'm still waiting!
I, myself, am a Slytherin, (sorted on Pottermore), and I am very proud of it! No, I'm not a baddy... I'm awesome!
It has been my mission to open the eyes of those so blind, and show them the incredible world of Harry Potter.
I have only 2 rules;
> No. The films are not the same! So, you cannot base your knowledge, or a valid opinion, of Harry Potter, on them.
> You have to read books 1, 2, and 3, before you can actually have a valid opinion of them.
You may think such thoughts as;
"why should I put my trust in someone else's opinion, when I have already made my own judgement through the films?"
Or
"The books can't be that good, if you have to read the first 3, before anything worthwhile happens..."
Although, both points are indeed fair, my answer to you would be that although ignorance is indeed bliss, the world of Harry Potter is a far more blissful place. But through the protection of you ignorance, you will never have to know, so you needn't worry... You're just an idiot.
Luckily enough for me, and these 2 very lucky beauties, I managed to convince both Sean, and my friend Carla to read the books...
Carla; my best friend back in school, and a fellow Slytherine is half way through the fourth, and is absorbed! (As suspected).
Sean; my boyfriend, a Gryffinfor (which I found out earlier today), has just finished the 3rd book; Prisoner Of Azkaban. He had his first 'geek out' today, over the thought of what it was gping to be like when seeing a dementor in action, for the first time, when seeing the film... It was a truly beautiful moment!
Now, after every book Sean reads, we snuggle up, gather up the chocolate, and Berty Bott's Every Flavour Beans, and watch the film. It recovers what he has just read, and helps you picture the books even more so. It's also a lot of fun for me, as I've not seen the films in a few years, and brings back the childhood memories.
Today, after a roast dinner, sorting Sean on Pottermore, and having a game of Scategories, we watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
With Sean being such a slow reader, it's probably going to be a while until I post about The Goblet of Fire!
