#12: Let The Resolutions Commence!

2013 eh?! I really hope that it's going to be better than 2012, because that really wasn't the greatest year...

The thing is, with every January 1st, no matter what year it is, it is usually always the time of year that encourages you more than ever, to change your life for the better. But gradually, as the months go on, you tend to lose whatever inspiration you were given. The drive you had, telling you to make these changes in yourself, for the better, fizzle out, and leave you with nothing but broken promises...

But enough of that misery! Today is a new day, and you can always learn from yesterday, to effect how you'll feel tomorrow. So, lets do this!

Today, naturally, I haven't been feeling 100%, but have taken the time out to write myself some New Year's Resolutions. I plan on starting and working towards these from tomorrow onwards...

1) Save up for travelling in 2014.

2) Get a job with full time hours, and keep it!

For many years, it has been my dream to travel around Europe, Asia, America, and pretty much everywhere there is to go! But unfortunately, since leaving school, I have only ever been able to get 8 hour jobs, so have been unable to put any money towards going places. I managed to save up enough money to go to Rome, and Amsterdam, back in 2010, but since then, I have not done as well. So, hopefully, I'll have better luck saving this year.

3) Decided on a career, and work towards it.

I've always been a great lover of music, but feel that it would be quite difficult to get a job in the music industry, so I'm thinking of leaving music as more of a hobby, and working towards another career. I think I would like to become either an adventure course instructor, or work in homeopathic treatment, such as as a masseuse, maybe. Or even a personal trainer! I'm going to spend a lot of my free time in the next few months researching different careers, and college courses, and maybe finally decide on what I want to do with my life!

4) Start working out again, and go back to the gym.

In 2011, I was always at the gym, but after losing my job, I found I couldn't afford my membership anymore, so I quit. I stopped going around March 2012, and began to slack, and stop working out all together. Luckily, as I don't drive, and me and my boyfriend live on opposite ends of town, I tend to find myself walking around 2 miles a day, so I manage to keep myself active. I'm also a very healthy eater, despite consuming ridiculous amounts of chocolate, on a daily basis, so I have been able to keep relatively active, and healthy. But I do want to do more for myself. I want to push my boundaries like I used to, and become the best me I can be. The aim is to start working out again, and once I get a full time job, rejoin the gym.

5) Read up to once a day.

I have a never ending list of books I wish to read, and have always wanted to be a book worm. The only problem is that I am a slow reader, and I hardly ever find myself remembering to pick up a book. I have improved, but I now want to fly through books, and find out about the favourite reads, I have yet to discover.

There are a few more resolutions on my list, consisting of walking at least once a day, and continuing my wheat free diet, but these are my main priorities.

Good luck to anyone else who wishes to improve their life, and good luck to me!
